NFE Student Chapter Activity

NFE STUDENT CHAPTER ACTIVITY Conducted on 10th March 2025 On Account of Safety Awareness Week (4th – 10th March 2025)

The NFE Student Chapter of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology successfully conducted a safety awareness program on 10th March 2025, as part of the Safety Awareness Week observed between 4th and 10th March 2025. The event included various activities aimed at promoting electrical safety awareness among the general public and students.

Activities Conducted:

1. Distribution of Electrical Safety Awareness Tips

The student members of the NFE Chapter actively participated in distributing electrical safety awareness tips to the general public in Kozhijampara. Awareness materials were distributed to:

  • Residences in the nearby areas
  • Shops and business establishments
  • Government offices
  • Bus stand premises
  • Police station

This initiative aimed at educating the local community on safe electrical practices, thereby preventing potential electrical hazards. The event was efficiently coordinated by faculty members from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department:

  • Mr. A Manickavasagam
  • Mr. Subin Chacko
  • Mr. Vipindas

2. Safety Quiz Competition

A safety quiz competition was conducted for the students of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology. A total of 51 students registered for the event, showcasing keen interest in enhancing their knowledge of electrical safety. The winners of the quiz were:

  • First Place (Shared): Glinda Baby  & Ajay Prakash
  • Second Place (Shared): Madhulika & Abdhul Vaheed

Following the quiz, a special session on safety was conducted by Mr. Rajan Menon, NFE President, Kerala State Centre. His session provided valuable insights on electrical safety measures, precautionary actions, and best practices in ensuring safety in everyday life.

The quiz program was successfully coordinated by:

  • Ms. Rosu V P

Conclusion

The NFE Student Chapter activity was a resounding success, achieving its objective of spreading safety awareness both among the general public and students. The event witnessed active participation and enthusiasm, reinforcing the importance of electrical safety in daily life. The faculty coordinators and student volunteers played a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of the program.
