Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood.
Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology has successfully conducted two courses under the PMKVY scheme: (a) CNC Operator – turning under Capital Goods Skill Council of India (b) Electrician Domestic Solutions under Power Sector Skill Council of India
CNC Operator – turning
CNC operation involves removal of metal from the outer diameter of a rotating cylindrical work piece. It also involves inspecting the components and continuously monitoring of the machining operations and making minor adjustments in order to ensure that the work output is to the required quality and accuracy. Job Description: Operation of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines, such as CNC lathe machine, in order to perform turning operations on metal components, as per specifications provided. Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology successfully conducted the CNC Operator – Turning Course during the academic year 2018-19. A total of 23 students have completed the course. The assessment of the course was conducted on 10 December 2019.
Electrician Domestic Solutions
An Electrician does all types of wiring for households, is involved in troubleshooting and repair of electrical faults in existing wiring and other activities such as troubleshooting, replacing, repairing and maintaining common electrical equipment such as ceiling fans, tube light fittings, electric iron, geyser, motors, inverters, stabilizers water pumps etc. Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology successfully conducted the Course and imparted on job Training at Ahalia Alternate Energy Pvt. Ltd. A total of 17 students have completed the course. The assessment of the course has been conducted on 16 December 2019 by the Power Sector Council of India.
