Eligibility

ASET welcomes higher secondary school and diploma candidates to apply for our four Year B.Tech. courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Our courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and the college is affiliated to A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala.

B.Tech. Merit Quota
For B.Tech. admission, the candidate must have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or equivalent exam with minimum 50% aggregate score along with 50% marks in Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
Candidates with 45% – 50% marks in Class 12 will be considered for admission under government quota only in private engineering colleges. These students will not get admission in government engineering colleges.
In case a candidate has not studied Chemistry in class 12, marks of Computer Science will be considered for aggregate score. Further, if the candidate has also not studied Computer Science and Chemistry, the marks in Biotechnology will be considered. In case candidate has not studied any of the above subjects, the scores of Biology will be taken into consideration. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examinations obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility.

B.Tech. Management/NRI Quota
35% seats are under Management Quota, allotted on merit by ranking applicants on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination and for Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance Examinations 2020 (KEAM 2020). Seats under NRI category (Max 15%) are offered to eligible candidates. Qualifying in the KEAM is not necessary for NRI admission. Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme candidates as supernumerary are allotted as per norms of AICTE/Govt.

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, with 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission under Management Quota in Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges/Government Controlled Self-financing Engineering Colleges.

Only those candidates who get qualified in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM) conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Govt. of Kerala will be considered for seats other than NRI quota.

Relaxation in marks
For all the courses, candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) as per G.O. (P) No. 208/66/Edn dated 02.05.1966, GO(MS), G.O.(P) No. 10/2014/BCDD dated 23.05.2014, G.O.(P) No. 1/2015/BCDD dated: 01.01.2015 and amendments thereof, will have a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination. They need only 45% marks in the case of Mathematics/Biology and 45% marks in the case of Mathematics/Biology, Physics and Chemistry put together. The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination. The relaxation in marks in the Qualifying Examinations available to SEBC and PD Candidates will not be applicable to the admissions under Management Quota in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges/Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges. The relaxation of marks in the qualifying examination extended to SEBC candidates will be applicable only to OEC candidates even if they are allotted against the unavailed seats of SC/ST quota.

Age
Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2020. Relaxation in the minimum age will not be allowed. There is no upper age.

Nationality
Candidates must be citizens of India.
