As part of its environmental enrichment and conservation efforts, the NSS Unit of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology planted 50 marigold saplings in grow bags on the campus. Marigold flowers, which are in high demand during the Onam Festival, not only add festive beauty but also contribute to improved air quality.
The program was formally inaugurated by Dr. P. R. Suresh, Principal, ASET, who planted the first sapling. The initiative was coordinated by Mridhul Krishna, Anuja, and Haritha, with active participation from NSS volunteers.
Over time, the saplings grew successfully, and the unit proudly harvested the vibrant flowers, marking the culmination of the effort. The entire program was carried out under the valuable guidance of Mr. Dinesh K., Lab Instructor, EEE.
This activity reflects the commitment of ASET NSS volunteers towards sustainability, environmental awareness, and campus greening.
