The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering inaugurated its EEE Association on Monday, 25th August 2025 at Visveswaraya Hall, ASET. The ceremony commenced at 11:00 AM with a prayer, setting a dignified tone for the event.
The formal proceedings began with the Welcome Address by Dr. Pradip C, Head of the Department (EEED), followed by the Presidential Address delivered by Dr. P. R. Suresh, Principal, who highlighted the importance of co-curricular and professional association activities in enriching students’ technical knowledge and leadership abilities.
The Chief Guest of the event, Er. Noufal P, Assistant Electrical Inspector, Department of Electrical Inspectorate, Palakkad, was introduced by Ms. Karthika, student S7 EEE.
The association was formally inaugurated by Er. Noufal P, who also delivered the Inaugural Address. In his thought-provoking speech, he emphasized the importance of mastering the fundamentals of Electrical Engineering and narrated real-life experiences to inspire the students. He also spoke about the rapid advancements in Power Electronics and the energy sector, encouraging students to keep themselves updated with emerging technologies.
This was followed by an address by Dr. G. Murugananth, Dean Research, who underlined the role of research and innovation in strengthening the field of Electrical engineering. The gathering was further graced with a felicitation by Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor, Vice Principal, appreciating the efforts of the department in nurturing student initiatives.
The Office Bearers of the EEE Association were then introduced by Mr. Manickavasagam, Assistant Professor, EEED. The Convenor of the Association presented a brief overview of the upcoming programs and initiatives planned for the academic year.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Vipin Das, Assistant Professor, EEED, followed by the National Anthem.
The inauguration was a grand success, marked by insightful addresses, enthusiastic participation, and a renewed commitment towards technical growth and excellence. The gracious presence of the dignitaries made the occasion more memorable.
