Two-Day Workshop – CLUSTER CRAFT

Two-Day Workshop – CLUSTER CRAFT

The two-day workshop titled “Cluster Craft” was successfully organized by ASTHRA–AIML, the departmental association under the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology (ASET). The workshop was conducted on 12th and 13th March 2026 in the AIML Lab from 9:00 AM to 4:15 PM. The event aimed to provide students with practical exposure and deeper insights into important concepts in Machine Learning through interactive sessions and hands-on demonstrations. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, making it an informative and engaging learning experience.

The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Sunder V, Head of the Department – AIML. During the inaugural session, Mrs. Reshma P K, Faculty Coordinator, welcomed the participants and introduced the resource person, Dr. Umamaheswara Sharma B, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Calicut. She highlighted his expertise and research contributions in the fields of Software Engineering, Machine Learning, and Software Reliability.

Dr. Umamaheswara Sharma B delivered insightful sessions across the two days, focusing on important Machine Learning concepts and their practical applications. The sessions were designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world implementation. Through demonstrations, discussions, and interactive activities, participants were introduced to various Machine Learning techniques and tools. The workshop emphasized developing practical skills and understanding how Machine Learning can be applied to solve real-world problems across different domains.

The sessions also included interactive discussions where students actively engaged with the resource person by asking questions related to Machine Learning applications, implementation challenges, and career opportunities in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Dr. Sharma addressed the queries with detailed explanations and encouraged students to explore further research and innovation in the field.

The workshop was coordinated by Mrs. Reshma P K as the Faculty Coordinator. The student coordinators for the event were Mr. Ajeeth Sanghar and Ms. Sreya S, who played a key role in organizing and managing the workshop activities. Their efforts ensured the smooth execution of the program and effective coordination among participants and faculty members.

The workshop concluded with the principal’s address, where the efforts of the organizers and the valuable contributions of the resource person were appreciated. The principal also encouraged students to continue exploring emerging technologies in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The vote of thanks was delivered by the student coordinator Ms. Sreya S, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, faculty members, organizers, and participants for their support and active participation.

Overall, the two-day workshop “Cluster Craft” proved to be a valuable and enriching learning experience for the participants. The program significantly enhanced the students’ technical knowledge and practical understanding of Machine Learning concepts while encouraging them to explore innovative applications in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
