One-Day Training Programme on Academic Audit Manual 2025

Mr. Dhanesh and Dr. Bhavin K Bharath attended the One-Day Training Programme on the Academic Audit Manual 2025, organized by the HRD Centre of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University at Government Engineering College, Kozhikode, on 13-03-2026, representing Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology.

The programme was inaugurated at 10.00 AM by Dr. Jasmin E A, the Principal of Government Engineering College, Kozhikode. The resource person for the session was Dr. Bejoy Abraham, Joint Director (Academics), APJAKTU. Around 45 participants from various affiliated institutions attended the programme.

During the session, the resource person explained in detail the various criteria included in the Academic Audit Manual 2025. He elaborated on both the Institution Criteria and Programme Criteria that are used to assess and monitor the academic quality of institutions affiliated with the university. The discussion included the methods of evaluating academic practices, documentation, and institutional processes.

The training emphasized the importance of monitoring and enhancing the quality of technical education by providing clear guidelines for faculty members.

The programme also highlighted how the revised academic audit manual and procedures help institutions prepare for NBA accreditation and improve their position in NIRF and the KIRF.

It was also mentioned that the external academic audit had been suspended for the past few years and is now being reinstated by the university to strengthen quality assurance mechanisms and to improve the academic standards of affiliated colleges.

The programme concluded at 3.00 PM with an interactive session. Overall, the programme was informative and provided valuable insights into the academic audit process and quality enhancement in technical education.
