Dr. S. Gunasekaran is an accomplished academician, researcher, and academic administrator with 20+ years of total professional experience spanning teaching, research, and industry, including 4 years of full-time Ph.D. research.
He is presently serving as Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, at Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, Kerala. His research expertise includes Machine Learning, Data Mining, Mobile Computing, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Natural Language Processing, and Data Analytics.
He has published 35 international journal papers (including Scopus-indexed journals), authored 3 books, contributed 2 book chapters, and holds 4 published Indian design patents .
He has organized 3 international conferences, carried out 3 consultancy projects, and delivered over 40+ invited guest lectures. With strong involvement in outcome-based education, curriculum design, and academic leadership, he actively contributes to institutional quality assurance, research mentoring, and industry-oriented education.
