
Dr. Leesha Paul

Dr. Leesha Paul is a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), where she also serves as the Dean of Academic Research, President of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), and Chair of the Women’s Redressal Cell. With a career spanning over 30 years, she began as a lecturer at NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad, in 1993 and rose to the rank of Professor in 2019. Over the years, she has served as the Staff Counsellor for the IEEE Student Chapter and held several leadership roles within IEEE. Currently, she chairs the IEEE Education Society, Kerala Chapter, and In 2024, Dr. Leesha Paul received the Best IEEE Education Society Chapter Achievement Award for the Asia-Pacific Region, recognizing her leadership and contributions to the IEEE Education Society Kerala Chapter. Area of interest is in control systems; power electronics has published around 15 research papers in international journals and conferences. At ASET, as Dean of Academic Research, she leads research initiatives, oversees faculty publications, and facilitates funding opportunities for research projects. Through her role as IIC President, she fosters innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty, while as Chair of the Women’s Redressal Cell, she actively works towards creating an inclusive and supportive academic environment. In 2024, Dr. Leesha Paul received the Best IEEE Education Society Chapter Achievement Award for the Asia-Pacific Region, recognizing her leadership and contributions to the IEEE Education Society Kerala Chapter.
