Dr. Murugananth Gopal Raj serves as Dean, Research of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad. He has over 24 years of experience in teaching and administrative leadership in engineering
education, he brings extensive expertise to his role. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, a Master of Engineering in Power Electronics and Drives from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. He is a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India), Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education, Member of the National Federation of Engineers for Electrical Safety (NFE), and a Chartered Engineer of the Institution of Engineers (India). He is Certified as IIC – Innovation Ambassador by the Innovation Cell and AICTE of Ministry of Education, Additionally, he is a certified Home Energy Assessor by the Energy Management Centre, Government of Kerala. Dr. Murugananth has authored 20 papers in refereed international journals, 15 papers in international conferences, coauthored 6 books,
and authored 3 books. His most interesting part of writing include, “Writing an Effective Research Paper – Means and Methods, Engineering Entrepreneurship and Intellectual Property Rights”. These books are the centre of attraction for budding researchers and engineers. His research interests and specialization encompass energy management, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics. He is a consultant for various coir industries in and around the coir cluster of Pollachi. He is a practicing energy auditor and consultant for various industries at Kanjikode Industrial Estate, Palakkad, Kerala. Currently, he is handling courses on Energy Management, and Electrical Drives.
