An insightful orientation program titled “Green Scope @ Ahalia – Auditing Sustainability, the Ahalia Way” was successfully conducted at the ADH Auditorium on August 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The session focused on fostering awareness and best practices in sustainability and environmental stewardship.
The program featured expert talks by Mr. Rashik S A, Junior Engineer (Electrical), Ahalia Alternate Energy Pvt. Ltd., and Dr. K. Haridasan, Consultant – Bio-Resources, Green Ahalia. Both speakers emphasized the importance of energy auditing, renewable initiatives, and the Net Zero mission being undertaken at Ahalia.
The event was part of the Race to Zero Ahalia campaign, an initiative aimed at making Ahalia a model campus for sustainability and clean energy practices.
A group of NSS volunteers from Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology (ASET) actively participated in the session, gaining valuable insights into green practices and sustainable development goals. They were accompanied by Mrs. Preeja (Assistant Professor, S&H Department) and Mr. Dhanesh (Assistant Professor, ME Department).
The orientation served as an eye-opener for students and faculty alike, underlining the role educational institutions can play in building a sustainable future.
