The Three-day Capacity Building Training for School Teachers on Enhancing Teaching Effectiveness held from 07 to 09 May 2025 organised by Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology was inaugurated by Dr. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad.
Dr. Binoy Balan, HoD, Dept of Science and Humanities, ASET welcomed the participants. Dr. P. R. Suresh, Principal, ASET, presided over the inauguration function. Shri. E. P. B. Rajithan, Vice President, Ahalia Group and Dr. Rajendran, Former Principal, DIET Palakkad offered Felicitation address. Smt. Bindu Valoor, Manager Academics Outreach, expressed the vote of thanks.
Day 1: Forenoon
Dr. Rajendran, Former Principal, DIET, Palakkad, handled the session on Effective classroom management and student engagement.
Afternoon:
Dr. Sajan, Asst. Professor of Teaching, NSS Training College, Ottappalam trained the teachers on using ICT tools for teaching.










Day 2: Forenoon
Dr. B. V. Mathew, HoD, CE, ASET, briefed about sustainable living. The participants were taken for a field visit to Ahalia Solar and Wind Power Plants, Green Ahalia initiatives and rain water harvesting lakes
Afternoon
Dr. Sudhodanan,
Youth Director, OISCA International conducted an interactive session on Know the child within you, to know your students better. Teachers went home with a smiling face and a lighter heart.
Day 3: Forenoon
Dr. P. R. Suresh, Principal, ASET, gave a thought provoking session on Project Based Education.
As a continuation to that, the teachers were asked to share the best practices they were following in their school which are fetching positive results.
Afternoon:
Ms. Bindu Valoor, Manager, Academics Outreach, handled a session on Learned Resourcefulness and made the participants take the Rosenbaum’s Self Control Assessment.
Ms. Silpa, Counselling Psychologist, Ahalia Group, engaged a session on Know your personality type. The participants took an assessment and they were guided to infer their personality type.
The training ended with a Valedictory function. Dr. P. R. Suresh, Principal, ASET and Dr. Binoy Balan, HoD, Dept. of Science and Humanities, ASET distributed the certificates.
69 teachers attended this training programme.
