The NSS Unit of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology successfully carried out a Carbon Neutral Survey within the campus premises on 22nd, 25th and 29th August 2025, as part of the Green Ahalia initiative.
NSS volunteers actively engaged in measuring, documenting, and analyzing various parameters of trees and vegetation across the campus. The activity aimed at estimating the carbon sequestration potential of the greenery and promoting awareness on environmental sustainability.
The program was conducted under the valuable guidance of Mr. Dhanesh (Assistant Professor, ME), Mr. Vignesh D (Assistant Professor, S&H), and Mr. Jayakrishnan R (NSS Programme Officer). Their support and direction ensured the systematic completion of the survey.
This effort is aligned with Ahalia’s vision for a carbon-neutral campus and supports the ongoing “Race to Zero” campaign. The initiative not only offered hands-on experience to the volunteers but also generated valuable data to strengthen institutional sustainability planning under the Green Ahalia movement.
