A hackathon workshop is more than just an event; it’s an exhilarating journey where creativity meets innovation. Recognizing the significance of this journey, a one-day Hackathon Workshop Session was conducted explaining what hackathons are, their purpose, and how they work. Throughout the Workshop, participants had access to mentoring sessions covering various topics including Introduction to hackathons, Team formation, Ideation and project planning, Tools and resources, Time management, Collaboration and communication, Prototyping and development, Presentation skills. The aim of the hackathon workshop was to provide a platform for participants to brainstorm, collaborate, and develop innovative solutions to real-world problems within a limited time frame. The hackathon was a resounding success, showcasing the power of collaboration and innovation in addressing real-world challenges.
The Workshop Session was conducted on 4th March 2024 by IEEE WIE ASET. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor (Vice Principal, ASET). The guest of Honor was Ms. Sherhin P P (2nd runner up in Chakravyuha , a 24 hour National level Hackathon). The event started at 9:30am at Visvesvaraya Hall, ASET. A Workshop Session on Hackathon was conducted as the forenoon session. A mini Hackathon was conducted as the afternoon session both of which was handled by Ms. Sherhin P P.61 students participated in the session (29 IEEE members and 32 non-IEEE members). The event came to an end at 4:00pm.
