The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, in association with EDUFINN successfully organized a webinar on “Financial Education Initiative – Empowering Students for Financial Success” on 22 January 2026 from 11.00 AM to 12.00 PM at the D & A Lab, ASET.
The objective of the webinar was to create financial awareness among students, introduce the basics of securities markets, and highlight various investment opportunities relevant to young professionals. The session emphasized the importance of disciplined financial management, early-stage saving, and risk awareness in financial decisions.
The program was convened byDr. Bhavin K Bharath, HOD, Mechanical Engineering, andcoordinated by Mr. Sadanandan R, Assistant Professor Mechanical Engineering.
A total of 50 studentsactively participated in the webinarfromS6 Mechanical Engineering, S8 Mechanical Engineering, S6 Civil Engineering, and S8 Civil Engineering. The session was interactive, and students showed keen interest by actively engaging in discussions.
The webinar concluded successfully, achieving its intended objectives of enhancing financial literacy and motivating students towards informed financial planning.
