The Students Council of ASET had conducted the “ANNUAL ATHLETICS MEET” on 13th April 2023 at ASET Ground. The Athletics Meet was coordinated by Mr. Bibin B. (Assistant Professor, Physical Education). The events started with the 1500 m running for men at 09:00 a.m. After the event, the Inauguration Ceremony was conducted. The programme started with ‘Vandemataram’ followed by the welcome speech of Dr. John Alexis (Professor, ME Department). Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai (Principal) inaugurated the event. The flag off was done by Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor (Vice Principal). Mr. Balakrishnan (Sports Captain, S8 ME) received the college flag from the Vice Principal. The Athletic Oath, to ensure true sportsmanship was administered by Ms. Hrithika (S2 CE), the Outstanding Sportsperson in the AY 2022-23. The Inauguration Ceremony was over with the vote of thanks of Mr. Devaraj R. (Chairman of Students Council). 8 events for boys and 6 events for girls were conducted which are listed as below

- Javelin Throw (for Boys only)
- 4*100 m relay (for Boys only)
The points for the events were calculated on the basis of ‘year of study’. After the events, the prize distribution was done by faculty members. The overall champion was the third year students with 54 points. The runner-up was the final year students with 40 points. The second years got 24 points and the first years got 15 points. The individual champion (Boys) was Mr. Athul Krishna K. from S6 EEE. and individual champion (Girls) was Ms. Ashcharya from S4 EEE. More than 100 students participated in various events. The event ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. Prabha R. (Assistant Professor, S&H Department) at 3:30 p.m.
