The students of ASET conducted the ‘ASET PREMIER LEAGUE (APL) SEASON 4’ from 5 April to 26th April 2023 at ASET sports ground. The APL Season 4 matches were coordinated by Mr. Bibin. B, Assistant Professor in Physical Education. 6 teams participated in this tournament. The first round of the tournament was played in round-robin format. Team Centurions was the league topper with 8 points. The Playoff matches were played in IPL Playoff format. The final was conducted on 26 April 2023. Principal Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai inaugurated and witnessed the final match. The team Professors Xi were the winners and the team Gigachad were the runners-up of the tournament. The Principal distributed the winner’s trophies and individual medals to the participants. Abhishek P Nair from S8 ME was selected as the PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT and Amrithesh R from S8 CE was selected as BEST BOWLER of the tournament with most wickets. Abhishek P Nair from S8 ME was selected as the ‘BEST BATTER’ of the tournament. Sanjay S from S2 CSE was the ‘EMERGING PLAYER’ of the tournament. Jishnoop ,faculty of ME was selected as Best Fielder of the Tournament. More than 100 students participated in the tournament. A great deal of enthusiasm was seen in the students and
faculty members.
