AICTE Pre-Summit Event 2026

The AICTE Pre-Summit Event 2026 was conducted successfully through a series of three well-organized programs that highlighted innovation, research, and student engagement in emerging technologies. The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, making the pre-summit activities a grand success and establishing a strong foundation for the main summit.

The first program was a webinar conducted on 9th February 2026 at 2:00 PM via Zoom, with arrangements made at Visveswara Hall for collective participation. The session was titled “Smart and Sustainable Mobility: AI-Powered Autonomous Navigation.” The resource person, Dr. R. Raja Subramanian, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, delivered an insightful presentation on the role of Artificial Intelligence in autonomous navigation systems, sustainable transportation models, and future mobility solutions. He explained how AI-driven technologies are transforming smart cities and enabling safer and more efficient transportation networks.

The session included an engaging interaction and feedback segment, during which students raised thoughtful questions regarding real-world applications, challenges in deploying autonomous vehicles, and research opportunities in AI-based mobility systems. The resource person addressed the queries comprehensively and encouraged students to explore interdisciplinary innovation in AI and sustainability. The webinar was coordinated by faculty members Ms. Neethu A.B (AP – AIML) and Ms. Reshma P.K (AP – AIML), with Mr. Sunder V, HoD – AIML, serving as the Convenor. The student coordinators were Ms. Anamika S and Mr. Anandhu Krishna S S, whose efforts ensured the smooth execution of the program.

The second event under the AICTE Pre-Summit was “Picta-AI,” conducted on 11th February 2026 at 9:30 AM in the AIML Lab. This AI image generation event was organized under the theme “Inclusion and Social Empowerment with AI Innovations.” The event encouraged students to creatively utilize AI tools to generate meaningful visuals that promote inclusivity, accessibility, and social empowerment. Participants presented innovative AI-generated images reflecting diversity and societal transformation. The student coordinators were Ms. Anamika S, Mr. Aban Faruk, and Ms. Sidhra Zainab, and the event was judged by Mr. Rakesh P R and Mrs. Neethu A B. The event successfully fostered creativity and awareness about responsible and ethical AI usage.

The third program was an Ideathon titled “innovAIte,” conducted on 11th February 2026 at 10:45 AM in Room No. 102, under the same theme of “Inclusion and Social Empowerment with AI Innovations.” The Ideathon provided a platform for students to present innovative AI-based solutions addressing societal challenges such as digital inclusion, accessibility for differently abled individuals, rural empowerment, and equitable access to technology. Students actively participated by presenting creative problem statements along with feasible AI-driven solutions. The student coordinators were Ms. Anamika S, Ms. Liya Mariam, and Mr. Sujith S, while the judges for the event were Mrs. Anisree P G and Mrs. Reshma P K. Overall, the AICTE Pre-Summit Event 2026 was conducted successfully, showcasing academic excellence, innovation, and collaborative effort. The series of programs enhanced students’ technical knowledge, creativity, and awareness of the societal impact of Artificial Intelligence. The coordinated efforts of faculty members, convenor, and student coordinators ensured the smooth execution and impactful outcome of all three events. The pre-summit activities effectively inspired students to leverage AI technologies for sustainable development and social empowerment.
