Neuromorphic VLSI Outreach Series – Event 2 Conducted at ASET
Palakkad, 26 September 2026: The Neuromorphic VLSI Outreach Series – Event 2, jointly organized by the IEEE CASS Kerala Chapter and the IEEE CASS Student Chapter of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), Palakkad, was conducted on 26 September 2026 at ASET.
The programme commenced with an inaugural session attended by Dr. P. R. Suresh, Principal; Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishore, Vice Principal; Dr. Aneesh K., HOD, ECE; IEEE CASS Chair K. Meenakshi, along with resource persons Darshitha Dinesh, Aleena Kabeer, Dr. Sherin Thomas, and Archana.
The event featured a Neuromorphic VLSI quiz, followed by a basic hands-on Cadence workshop, providing participants with practical exposure to VLSI design tools and their applications. The programme concluded with a technical talk by Dr. Alex P. James, Professor and Controller of Examinations, Digital University Kerala, who shared insights into neuromorphic VLSI and emerging opportunities in the field.
The programme witnessed the participation of 36 students from Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, and RMK Engineering College. The event provided an effective platform for students to enhance their technical knowledge, gain practical exposure, and interact with experts in the field of VLSI and neuromorphic computing.
