Proceedings of the Meeting
The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting of S3 Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning was held on 26th September 2026 at 10.00 a.m. in the classroom R 116, IIT block.
The meeting was presided over by the Head of the Department (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning). The Principal joined and shared his valuable suggestions.
Major Points Discussed
- Academic Performance and University Results
• The University examination results and the overall academic performance of the students were discussed in detail.
• The academic progress of the students in the current semester was reviewed, and the parents were informed about the importance of continuous study, regular participation in classes, and timely completion of academic activities.
• The Class Advisor discussed the need for students to identify their academic difficulties at an early stage and seek appropriate guidance from the concerned faculty members.
• Parents were encouraged to monitor their ward’s academic progress regularly and maintain communication with the Class Advisor whenever necessary. - Subject-wise Academic Difficulties
• The subject-wise difficulties faced by students and the areas where students require additional support were discussed.
• Suggestions were given regarding improving subject understanding, regular revision, doubt clarification, assignment completion, and preparation for internal and University examinations.
• Parents were advised to encourage students to approach the concerned faculty members whenever they experience difficulty in any subject.
• The importance of maintaining a consistent study schedule and completing academic work within the prescribed time was emphasized. - Timely Completion of Academic Activities
• The importance of completing assignments, records, laboratory work, internal assessments, seminars, projects, and other academic activities within the prescribed time was discussed.
• Students were advised to avoid last-minute submission of academic work and to follow the schedules and instructions given by the faculty members.
• Parents were requested to support and monitor their wards in ensuring that all academic activities are completed on time. - Classroom Discipline and Academic Engagement
• The importance of regular attendance, punctuality, active participation in classes, and maintaining proper classroom discipline was discussed.
• Students were advised to maintain appropriate behaviour in the classroom and to respect faculty members and fellow students.
• The need for students to remain attentive during lectures, laboratory sessions, and other academic activities was emphasized.
• The Class Advisor emphasized that discipline and regular academic engagement are essential for improving overall academic performance and future professional development. - Mobile Phone Usage
• The issue of excessive and inappropriate use of mobile phones by students was discussed.
• Parents were requested to monitor the use of mobile phones by their wards and ensure that mobile phones are used primarily for academic and necessary purposes.
• Students were advised not to use mobile phones during class hours unless permitted by the faculty member for academic activities.
• Parents and the Class Advisor were encouraged to work together to monitor and regulate mobile phone usage. - Academic and Non-Academic Matters
• Various academic and non-academic matters concerning the students were discussed during the meeting.
• Issues related to attendance, classroom behaviour, academic activities, examinations, assignments, laboratory work, participation in college activities, and general student conduct were discussed.
• Parents were encouraged to maintain regular communication with the Class Advisor regarding any concerns related to their wards. - Overall Student Development and Monitoring
• The need for continuous monitoring of students’ academic performance, attendance, discipline, participation, and overall activities was emphasized.
• Parents were requested to take an active role in monitoring their wards and to ensure that they maintain a proper balance between academic and non-academic activities.
• The Class Advisor assured the parents that the progress of students would be monitored regularly and that necessary guidance would be provided whenever difficulties were identified. - Suggestions and Feedback from Parents
• Parents shared their suggestions and concerns regarding the academic progress, subject-wise difficulties, discipline, mobile phone usage, attendance, and overall development of their wards.
• The Class Advisor responded to the concerns raised by the parents and provided appropriate guidance.
• General suggestions regarding academic performance, discipline, responsible use of technology, regular attendance, and the importance of completing all academic and other responsibilities on time were shared with the parents.
• Parents appreciated the efforts taken by the Class Advisor for monitoring and supporting the students.
Conclusion
The meeting provided an opportunity for the parents and the Class Advisor to discuss the academic progress, University results, subject-wise difficulties, classroom discipline, mobile phone usage, attendance, and other academic and non-academic matters concerning the students of S3 AIML.
The parents were requested to closely monitor the academic progress and general activities of their wards and to maintain regular communication with the Class Advisor and concerned faculty members.The Class Advisor thanked the parents for their valuable participation, suggestions, and cooperation. The meeting concluded at 12.00 p.m. with a vote of thanks proposed by the Class Advisor.
