Centre for Career Development

The Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology Centre for Career Development (ASET- CCD) is dedicated to supporting students in their pursuit of employment and internships by offering comprehensive training programs and valuable career resources. It also serves as a
bridge between students and leading organizations by facilitating campus recruitment activities, including interviews, placement talks, and assessments. Managed by a team of senior faculty members and student coordinators, ASET-CCD ensures seamless operations and excellent
hospitality for visiting companies. By providing crucial career counseling and fostering connections with top employers, ASET-CCD plays a vital role in helping students transition from academic life to successful professional careers. As a result, many students secure prestigious job offers before completing their studies, reflecting the center’s significant impact on their career success. The center also welcomes industry experts to lead knowledge-sharing sessions and conduct workshops on organizational behavior for students.

Placement Procedure
Our placement process is designed to be simple and transparent. Companies are invited through emails, phone calls, alumni network and through contacts. Interested companies share their Job description forms, which should include details of the job, job profile, location, and compensation. The ASET-CCD reviews all the forms and schedules campus visits based on mutual availability and interest. Once the company confirms its participation, a pre-placement talk is organized either on or before the selection date. The company then conducts assessments, such as tests or group discussions, to shortlist candidates. Shortlisted students are interviewed for final selection, and results are typically announced on the same day.

Training program
The ASET Centre for Career Development (ASET- CCD) organizes a comprehensive series of training programs designed to refine students’ skills, attitudes, perceptions, and habits, ultimately shaping them into well-rounded individuals ready to contribute meaningfully to society and the industry. These programs commence in the first year and include key areas such as goal setting, motivation, soft skills development, resume building, and preparation for group discussions and interviews. Additionally, the training encompasses essential up skilling in aptitude and coding, empowering students to meet the dynamic demands of the job market.
