A one-day workshop on hardware troubleshooting for smartphones was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch and IETE Student Forum of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, along with New Technology Institutions in Coimbatore. The workshop took place on March 7th at the Design and Analysis Lab and was aimed at equipping participants with the essential skills to diagnose and resolve common technical issues with smartphones.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. V. Balamurugan, Head of the Department, who emphasized the importance of practical skills in today’s tech-driven world. The sessions were led by Dr. B. Krishna Kumar, CEO and Founder of New Technology Institutions, who brought a wealth of knowledge and real-world experience to the workshop. Fourth semester students from the department participated in the workshop.
The workshop focused on understanding mobile phone architecture and provided hands-on troubleshooting strategies for addressing common problems such as app crashes, battery drainage, and system slowdowns. Additionally, best practices for maintenance, as well as guidance on software updates, were discussed.
By the end of the workshop, participants gained valuable insights and practical skills to handle everyday technical challenges with smartphones effectively. Certificates of participation were issued to all attendees, marking the successful conclusion of the workshop.
