Palakkad Ahalia Group of Educational Institutions and OISCA jointly celebrated National Farmers Day on 23rd December. As part of this, meritorious farmers were felicitated at a public ceremony held at the farm of Mrs. Bhuvaneswari Amma, who won the Farmer Shri Award. The program was inaugurated by Malampuzha MLA, Shri. A. Prabhakaran, performed Elapulli Panchayat President Mrs. Revathi Babu and Vice President Mr. Sunil Kumar were the special guests. Elapulli Panchayat Agriculture Officer Vinod, P. Bhuvaneswari, Udayaprakash S., Ganesan, Bindu, Rajagopal,Ramachandran, Sumathi, V. Chentamara, V. Mani, Shahul Hameed and Haridasan were honoured. OISCA State Secretary Dr. Suddhodana welcomed the audience. Ahalia Group Educational Institutions Director Dr. P. R. Shri Mahadevan Pillai presided.Elapulli Panchayat 1st Ward Member Anitha gave a welcome speech. Participating students sowed vegetable seeds along the pada varambam. Through this program, the message was given that these students are with the new generation of farmers with the determination to restore our agricultural culture. Panchayat members, volunteers working in the agriculture sector, and students participated in this function.
