The Student Induction Program on Universal Human Values 2022 was conducted by Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology from 25/10/2022 to 29/10/2022. The programme was inaugurated on 25/10/2022 at 9.15 a.m. by Er. Prasad Mathew, Chief Engineer (Rtd.), KSEB. This event was presided by Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai, Principal, ASET and Director, Academics, Ahalia Group. Dr. Balamurugan V, HoD, ECE, ASET welcomed the gathering and the vote of thanks was given by Prof. Kripa K. M., HoD, CE, ASET. After the inauguration, the sessions of UHV program started. The UHV program was coordinated by Dr. S Gunasekaran, Mr.Thannasi and Mr.Basil Baby. Each session in this program was coordinated by Ms.Prabha R, Ms. Sunitha K. G., Ms. Preeja, Ms. Sangeetha P. S., Ms. Chippy Binoy, Mr. Vignesh D. and Ms.Neethu John. This program was supported and monitored by the class advisors Dr. Mahima Ganeshan, Mr. Roshan Sanu, Mr. Aneesh K., Ms.Sruthi Viswanath and Mr. Gokul A. Menon.

Day 1 (Tuesday) 25 October 2022

The first session started with a talk on ‘Role of Engineers in society’ by Dr. P R Sreemahadevan Pillai, Principal, ASET and Director, Academics, Ahalia Group. The next session on ‘Self-Motivation’ was by Prof. Kripa K. M. HoD, CE, ASET. The afternoon session on ‘Self-Reflection & Mutual Respect’ was handled by Ms. Bindu Valoor,Manager, Academic Outreach, Ahalia Group. This was followed by meeting of the class advisors and students, briefing of professional bodies in the campus, sports, cultural and NSS activities.

Day 2 (Wednesday) 26 October 2022

The second day started with a session on ‘Happiness Index’ by Dr. Binoy Balan K, HoD, S&H, ASET and the second session was on ‘Human Values and Human Relationships’ by Dr. Balamurugan V., HoD, ECE, ASET. The third session and fourth session were dedicated to Campus Visit organized by Mr. Sivakumar S. K., along with the tutors of Dr. Mahima Ganeshan, Mr.Rosan Sanu, Mr. Aneesh K.,
Ms.Sruthi Viswanath and Mr. Gokul A. Menon.

Day 3 Thursday 27 October 2022

The first session between 9 a.m to 11.00 a.m. was handled with title of ‘Soft Skill essentials for Engineers’ by Mr. Abhijit V., Placement Officer
A.P,ECE, ASET and the next session between 11.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. was handled by Mr. Dhaneesh, A.P, ME, ASET with the title on ‘Being Happy’. The KTU rules and regulations and curriculum of syllabus were introduced in the afternoon session with the title of ‘KTU- Regulations’ by Prof. Prakash D., HoD, ME, ASETfollowed by ‘Value of Engineering’ by Dr. Sivakumar R, Dean Research, ASET.

Day 4 Friday 28-10-2022

The first session between 9 a.m to 11.00 a.m. by the alumini of ASET Mr.Swaroop Kunnampully, Tryonce Agro Private LTD, Kerala with title of ‘Successful Entrepreneur’. The second session on ‘Awareness & Prevention of Drug Abuse’ by Mr.Sathish P. K., Circle Inspector of Excise, Anti-Narcotic Squad, Palakkad. The third session on ‘Self-Confidence’ was by Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor, VicePrincipal, ASET and Executive Director of Ahalia Group and the last session on ‘Insight about Inside’ was by Dr. S. Gunasekaran, HoD, CSE, ASET.

Day 5 Saturday 29-10-2022

The last day’s program started with a session on the title ‘GOAL Setting for Life’ by Dr. John Alexis, Professor, ME, ASET. The second session was by Ms. Rinsy M., Counseling Psychologist, Ahalia Group on the topic ‘Emotional Intelligence’. The third session was on ‘Yoga for Life’ given by Dr. Vandana V, Medical Officer, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College Hospital and the fourth session was an interactive session to get feedback of the entire program.
