APEX 2026, the Ahalia Project Expo, was successfully organized by Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), Palakkad on 28th February 2026 at Visveswaraya Hall. The event served as a platform for students to showcase their innovative project ideas, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities. The expo encouraged students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical applications while fostering creativity, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
OBJECTIVES OF THE EVENT
- Provide a platform for students to present innovative engineering projects.
- Promote research, creativity, and technical excellence among students.
- Encourage practical implementation of engineering concepts.
- Facilitate interaction between students, faculty members, and experts.
- Recognize and reward outstanding student projects.
INAUGURAL FUNCTION
The inaugural ceremony of APEX 2026 was conducted at 9:30 AM at Visveswaraya Hall. The event began with a warm welcome address delivered by Mr. Sanish V S, Program Coordinator, ASET, who welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and participants. He emphasized the importance of project-based learning and innovation among engineering students.
The Presidential and Inaugural Address was delivered by Dr. P R Suresh, Principal, ASET. He highlighted the role of innovation in engineering education and encouraged students to develop technologies that can address real-world challenges.
The felicitation address was delivered by Dr. Mathew B V, Head of the Department, Civil Engineering, ASET, who appreciated the efforts of students and organizers in making the project expo a meaningful academic event.
The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Amrutha Devadasan, Assistant Professor, CSE, ASET.




PROJECT EXHIBITION
Following the inaugural ceremony, the project exhibition commenced. Students from different departments presented innovative projects addressing various technological and societal challenges. The exhibition showcased projects related to automation, smart technologies, sustainable development, embedded systems, software applications, and emerging engineering solutions.
Faculty members and evaluators visited the exhibition stalls, interacted with the students, and assessed the projects based on innovation, technical complexity, feasibility, presentation, and societal relevance.










VALEDICTORY FUNCTION AND AWARD DISTRIBUTION
The valedictory function and award distribution ceremony was conducted at 3:00 PM at Visveswaraya Hall. The session began with the welcome address by Mr. Rohith M, Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering, ASET.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. Rajeev N, Dean Academics, ASET. He congratulated all the participants and appreciated their innovative ideas and dedication.
The award distribution ceremony followed, during which the best projects were recognized and awarded by the dignitaries for their outstanding innovation, technical merit, and practical applications.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Anisree P G, Assistant Professor, CSE, ASET, who expressed gratitude to the management, dignitaries, organizing committee, faculty members, student volunteers, and participants for their support in making APEX 2026 a successful event.

The Best Project Award was conferred upon Mr. Akhil M, Ms. Akshaya Krishnan M, Ms. Ayana S. Devan, and Mr. Rohith M from the Department of Civil Engineering for their project titled “Composite Gypsum Boards Reinforced with Agro-Industrial Wastes.” Their work was recognized for its innovation, sustainability, and potential contribution to eco-friendly construction materials.

CONCLUSION
APEX 2026 successfully showcased the innovation, creativity, and technical competence of students at ASET. The event provided a valuable platform for students to present their ideas, receive expert feedback, and gain exposure to practical engineering solutions. The enthusiastic participation of students and the support of faculty members made the event a memorable and successful academic initiative.
