Venue: Visvesvaraya Seminar Hall, ASET
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ahalia School of Engineering & Technology (ASET) organised the Inauguration Programme of the Association of Royal Mechanical Engineers (ARME) on September 17, 2026, at the Visvesvaraya Seminar Hall. The programme began at 11:00 AM and was conducted to officially launch the activities of ARME and to provide a platform for students to improve their technical knowledge, leadership skills, and teamwork abilities.
The programme was attended by students of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years of Mechanical Engineering, along with faculty members and dignitaries. The inauguration was marked by the presence of Dr. Suresh P R, Principal of ASET; Dr. Bhavin K Bharath, HoD of Mechanical
Engineering; and Mr. Rakesh P R, Staff Coordinator. The event also featured a technical session on the future of mechanical engineering, handled by Dr. Ajith Ramesh, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering.
The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Irin Ranju (S7 ME), President, ARME, followed by a prayer from the Prayer Group. Dignitaries were introduced by Mr. Rakesh P R, Staff Coordinator. The HoD and Principal addressed the gathering and highlighted the
importance of professional associations in student development. The technical session on the future of mechanical engineering was well received and provided valuable insights into recent developments. The association and its office bearers were introduced by Ms. Irin Ranju (S7
ME), President, ARME. The morning session concluded with a vote of thanks by Vaisakh R (S3 ME), Secretary, ARME, followed by the National Anthem.

In the afternoon, MOU Signed Between Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology and Adlitix Robotics
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), Palakkad, and Adlitix Robotics, Kollam, an MSME specializing in Robotics and Automation. The MOU was formally signed by Mr. Adil, CEO, Adlitix Robotics, and
Dr. P. R. Suresh, Principal, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology. Dr. Bhavin K. Bharath, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Dr. Vivek Gopi, IIIC Coordinator, were present during the MOU signing ceremony.

As part of the collaboration, a technical session on Robotics and allied disciplines was conducted for the students of Mechanical Engineering. A major attraction of the program was the live demonstration of a quadruped robotic system (robot dog). The demonstration enabled
the students and faculty members to observe the capabilities, features, and potential applications of advanced robotic systems. After the MOU a musical event was conducted by the Aaravam band from the Mechanical Department.
The programme came to a close at 4:20 PM, marking the end of a successful inauguration day.
