The students of ASET conducted the ‘ASET PREMIER LEAGUE (APL) SEASON 3’ from 21 April to 4 June 2022 at ASET sports ground. The APL Season 3 matches were coordinated by Mr. Bibin. B, Assistant Professor in Physical Education. 8 teams participated in this tournament. The first round of the tournament was played in a round-robin format. Team Professors XI was the league topper with 14 points. The semifinal and final matches were played in knockout format. The final was conducted on 4 June 2022. Principal Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai inaugurated and witnessed the final match. The team Rising Stars were the winners and the team Kingsmen XI were the runners-up of the tournament. The Principal distributed the winner’s trophies and individual medals to the participants. Amruthesh from S6 Civil was selected as the PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT and the BEST BOWLER of the tournament with most wickets. Nishanth from S8 Mechanical was selected as the ‘BEST BATTER’ of the tournament. Sangameshwar from S2 CSE was the ‘EMERGING PLAYER’ of the tournament. Team Thunders were selected for ‘FAIR PLAY AWARD’. More than 115 students participated in the tournament. A great deal of enthusiasm was seen in the students and faculty members.
