ENGINEERING ODYSSEY – “From Concept to Creation: Unleash Your Creativity”

ENGINEERING ODYSSEY – “From Concept to Creation: Unleash Your Creativity”

The Three-Day Summer Camp 2026 – Engineering Odyssey was successfully organized at Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology with the objective of introducing school students to the fascinating world of engineering, innovation, creativity, and technology through interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, laboratory visits, and hands-on learning experiences.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students from various schools, offering them a valuable platform to explore modern engineering concepts and develop curiosity toward technical education.

The camp commenced with a formal inauguration ceremony The dignitaries on stage included:

  • Prayer: Mr. Rakesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering
  • Welcome Address: Dr. Rajeev N, Professor & Dean Academics, Department of Mechanical Engineering
  • Inauguration: Dr. Suresh PR, Principal, ASET
  • Vote of Thanks: Dr. Pradip C, Professor & HOD, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering

The inaugural address emphasized the importance of innovation, creativity, and practical learning in shaping future engineers and encouraged students to actively participate in all camp activities.

Day 1: Arduino and Embedded Systems Workshop

The first day introduced students to Arduino technology and embedded systems applications.

Sessions Conducted

  • Introduction to Arduino and its real-world applications
  • Familiarization with Arduino board and components
  • Arduino programming basics
  • Sensor technologies and applications
  • Simple project development
  • Problem-solving and creativity-building activities

The hands-on practical sessions enabled students to understand basic coding, sensor interfacing, and project creation. Students actively participated with great curiosity and showed strong enthusiasm toward learning programming concepts.

The second day of Engineering Odyssey 2026– Ahalia Summer Camp organized by the Mechanical Engineering Department was held on schedule (21-05-2026), starting at 9:30 AM. The programme began with a prayer by one of the participants, followed by a welcome address from Dr. Bhavin K. Bharath. He also introduced the day’s programme and its objectives. At 10:15 AM, the students were taken to the Mechanical Engineering laboratories. Dr. Vivek Gopi provided an introduction to Mechanical Engineering and explained its various applications. The lab
visit was supported by Mr. Surendran, Mr. Kishor, and Mr. Haridev. During the visit, students explored different laboratories and observed major equipment such as CNC machines, lathes, and other manufacturing facilities. The participants also visited the Genrobotics Facility, where technical staff demonstrated and explained various robotic cleaning systems and their applications. At 12:00 PM, Dr. Bhavin K. Bharath conducted a session on the Basics of 3D Printing. This was followed by a hands-on demonstration and practical session led by Mr. Jishnoop Jayaprakash, giving students an opportunity to learn about the 3D printing process. The day’s activities concluded at 3:45 PM with a feedback session and interactive activities. Students shared positive feedback and expressed that they enjoyed all the sessions. The programme ended at
4:15 PM, and the students left the campus after an informative and enjoyable day of learning

The three-day “Engineering Odyssey – Ahalia Summer Camp 2026” concluded successfully with positive feedback from participants and parents. The camp provided students with valuable exposure to engineering concepts, practical learning experiences, and future career opportunities in technology and innovation.
