Ahalia Astronomy Club an initiative of Ahalia Group of Institutions was inaugurated on 22 September 2021. It’s an auspicious day for astronomy enthusiasts as Autumnal Equinox falls on this day.Dr. Somanath, Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre and Chairman Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology inaugurated the event and offered an enlightening inaugural address.Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai, Principal, ASET presided over the event. Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor, Vice Principal, ASET offered the felicitation address. Both the speakers briefed on how the activities of the club is going to be beneficial for the students and the astronomy enthusiasts. Prof. Danesh, the coordinator of Ahalia Astronomy Club delivered the welcome address. Ms. Nithyasree, student of S2 ECE, ASET introduced the chief guest to the participants and Mr.Sreevalsan, student of S2 EEE, ASET offered the Vote of Thanks. Students, staff and astronomy lovers participated in the event and interacted with the guest speaker enthusiastically.
