The students of S3 ECE of Ahalia school of Engineering and Technology visited Indian Telecom Industries Limited Kanjikode on 21.10.2017. At first, the students have visited the PCB manufacturing plant and they were introduced to various processes, materials and machineries involved in manufacture of a PCB. The students understood the different processes like drilling, laminating, U-V shining, electroplating etc. After that, they visited the components placing plant, here they were introduced to the latest innovation in components mounting, ‘Surface mount technology (SMT)’. The guide gave a brief introduction on SMT and its importance in the modern technologies and demonstrated its working. .
