An industrial visit was organised jointly by Department of ECE and IEEE Student Branch and IEEE WIE of Ahalia School of Engineering for Fifth semester ECE students to Meenvallom hydroelectric power plant situated in Palakkad district, Kerala. on 21/10/2022. The S5 students of (2020-24) participated in the visit. The visit was aimed at the overall development of practical knowledge and the right kind of industrial exposure to the students. This mini-hydroelectric power generation plant situated near the Meenvallom waterfalls mainly focuses on carrying out power generation in an eco-friendly basis. Mr. Rajesh V, AE Meenvallom hydroelectric power plant gave an insight to students in knowing more about various machineries and processes involved in hydro- electric power generation. Dr. Princy P and Dr. V Balamurugan coordinated the visit and faculties Mrs. Vijitha Khan and Mr. Sathyan P accompanied the students during the visit.
