Internship Program on ‘Configure Your Smartphone Sensors : Do it Yourself’

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, ASET conducted an internship program on the topic – “Configure Your Smartphone Sensors – Do It Yourself” from 20.05.2021 to 24.05.2021. The program was led by Mr. D. K. Sangaran, Embedded Design Engineer, Weathercaps Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore. The program was inaugurated by Dr. S. Gunasekaran (HoD/CSE). The program included hands-on training session for the students in which various android applications were developed by them through which various sensors in the smartphones are accessed. Some of them included applications which controls the proximity sensor, accelerometer, flashlight, light sensor, step counter etc. in a smartphone. Students were able to develop the applications in an easy and efficient manner. 28 students from third year CSE participated in the program. The faculty coordinator was Mr. Roshan Sanu Y. (AP/CSE) and the student coordinator was Mr. Akshith K. M. (S6 CSE).
