The industrial visit was held on 4 April 2022. Initially there was a presentation on the domestic and global opportunities for the EEE students and various other aspects of the electrical power station in Meenvallom. Assistant Engineer Mr. Ranju and Mr. Anand graced the occasion with their presence. They also shed light on the various policies and steps taken in the direction to flourish the Indian power industry and make it compete with the national market. During the industrial visit the following points were discussed:
• Validation & testing techniques.
• Research & development breakthrough.
• Manual & automatic testing methods.
• Working of breakers
• Working of governor
• Insight of transformers
• Insight of overloading problems/defects.
• Inverter & UPS mode working.
• Working of hydroelectric power plant
Mr. Subhin Cahako, Ms. Veena Raj and Ms.Swathy M., faculty of the EEE Department accompanied the students for the visit.
