On account of the Silver Jubilee year of the success of Operation Vijay, Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed by the students and staff of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology and Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics. Nav Sena Medal awardee retired Rear Admiral N M Nair gave an inspiring talk on how strategically our defence force fought and won the war. Dr. P. R. Suresh, Principal, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology and Dr. Jagadeesh S. N., Principal, Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics spoke about the significance of this day. The bravehearts who were martyred were paid homage by lighting candles by the students and staff. NSS volunteers from ASET (Unit no.311) , NSS programme officer Mr. Jayakrishnan R., Academics Outreach Manager Ms. Bindu Valoor, UBA coordinator Ms. Preeja V. and Welfare Officer Mr. Shivakumar led the candle march.
