Ahalia Engineering College and Friends of Bharathapuzha jointly organized Nilamelam on November 13 at 9 am with musical accompaniment. The students of Ahalia Engineering College sang a song depicting the glory of Nila and the current plight accompanied by Chendamela The procession started from Chathapuram village via Milma Junction, Old Kalpathi and Kundambalam and ended at Govindarajapuram. Councilor Mrs. Jyoti Mani inaugurated the Nilamela.Mrs. Priya Venkatesh, Secretary of Chathapuram Village Society Mr. Murali and conveyed their greetings. Friends of Bharathapuzha Palakkad Chapter Coordinator Mrs. Anantalakshmi extended welcome. Mrs. Bindu Valur, Academics Outreach Manager, Ahalia Group, gave the introductory speech, students of Ahalia Engineering College, Vinay, Amit, Abhiram and Visakh led the Nila Mela with Chenda Mela, Krishnaendu, Anugara and Ajil sang Nila Geetham. Ahalia Engineering College students Rahul, Gautham, Babita, Shreya, Nafis, Hrithik and Siddharth, students from PMG School and Kumarapuram Government Higher Secondary School participated in the Nilamela.
