One  Day Training : Open Source Software Tools In Clinical Image Processing

The one-day training on open-source software tools in clinical image processing was conducted on 11th February 2025 at Design and Analysis lab to enhance participants’ understanding of various tools and techniques utilized in the field. The training aimed to provide hands-on experience and insights into practical applications in clinical settings. The program commenced with a prayer, followed by an inaugural address by Dr. V. Balamurugan, who emphasized the importance of utilizing this opportunity to gain valuable knowledge. He encouraged students to actively participate and engage throughout the session. The training featured Dr. K.S. Tamilselvan, Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, as the resource person. His expertise provided students with valuable insights into the applications of clinical image processing. Participants learned about the significance of image processing in clinical settings, particularly its impact on diagnosis and treatment planning. Tamilselvan shared his project-related works, highlighting various applications of clinical image processing. This gave students a practical understanding of the concepts discussed. The session included discussions where students engaged with the resource person, asking questions and clarifying doubts related to the field. Dr. Aneesh, IETE Coordinator, and Ms. Gayathri P.S. were present to support the session, ensuring a smooth flow of activities and providing assistance to participants.
