Onam is a vibrant and culturally rich festival celebrated by the people of Kerala, marking the homecoming of the legendary King Mahabali. Our event aimed to bring the community together to celebrate this joyous occasion through traditional food, music, dance, and games
The event commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. P.R. Suresh, Principal, ASET, who highlighted the significance of Onam and the importance of community spirit.
The celebrations started with setting up an attractive floral decoration (pookkalam) .This was followed by various competitions like vadamvali, lemon spoon and so on. Traditional Onam Sadhya A sumptuous feast featuring a variety of vegetarian dishes served on banana leaves. Over 15 traditional dishes were prepared, and attendees enjoyed the communal dining experience.
The Onam celebration at ASET was a grand success, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. The event fostered unity and teamwork among students and staff, providing a platform for cultural exchange and recreation.
