On 12 December 2020, “TERRE Policy Centre”, as part of its Smart Campus Cloud Network (SCCN), had initiated the pledge for ‘Carbon Neutral Education Institutes’ in an on-line event called ‘Not Zero Net Zero’. Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad had conducted an online event for taking the oath on 12/12/2020 at 5 p.m. The event was inaugurated by Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai, Principal, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology. The pledge was delivered by the student representatives of all B. Tech. batches. All faculty members, students and non-teaching staff participated and the session lasted for an hour. The event was successful and it created an awareness among the participants regarding the importance of reducing carbon footprints in the college campus.
