A One-day seminar on “Kerala Municipality Building Rules” was organized by Civil Engineering department on Wednesday, 5th October 2016 at Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), Palakkad. Dr. Jino John, Head of the department, Civil Engineering welcomed the participants and introduced the programme to all. The occasion was graced with the presence of Dr. G. B.Vishnuram, Principal, ASET, who gave a speech on the awareness programme.
The seminar was chaired by Er. Shibhu Nalpat, Executive Engineer, Town Planning department, Kochi. He presented the relevance and the importance of Kerala Municipality building rules. All faculties and final year students participated in the seminar. The Kerala Municipality Building Rules provides information regarding site and building requirements, exterior and interior open air space, coverage and floor area ratio, size, height and ventilation of rooms etc. Thereby the session was very beneficial as the participants could gain keen knowledge about the value and relevance of application of KMBR for the building construction.
