Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology & Ahalia Centre for Energy and Environment in association with Centre for Environment and Development & Energy Management Centre, Government of Kerala, Trivandrum, organized a Signature Campaign under URJA KIRAN 2019-20 on 13th December 2019 at Ahalia Campus from 10.00am.
The chief guest of the day was Mr. V. C. Udayakumar, Standing Committee Chairman Malampuzha Block Panchayath. The function was presided by Dr. P R Sreemahadevan Pillai, Director, Ahalia Group Academic Institutions & Principal, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology. The gathering included Heads and staff members of various departments of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, students and staff members of Ahalia School of Management, and general public.
The presidential address was delivered by Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai in which he gave an introduction about ‘Urja Kiran’ program and the importance of energy conservation and effective utilization. Mr. V. C. Udayakumar addressed the gathering about various government programs and activities for energy conservation. ‘Save 1 Unit of Energy per day per Home’ was motto behind the campaign. 9 strategic ideas (9 Mantras) on implementing the motto were delivered by Ms Ambili B, Final year student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering to the gathering. Mr V.C Udayakumar inaugurated the Signature campaign. The participants promised to fulfill all the duties and responsibilities bestowed on them by signing. 200 participants signed the banner.
