Kerala startup mission in association with Startup India conducted a month-long startup yatra across the Kerala from 1st to 27th November 2018.
The Startup India Yatra is a platform which aims to help aspiring entrepreneurs in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities realize their startup dream. Entrepreneurs will get an opportunity to get their Startups incubated i.e., coached and prepared in one of the best incubators to succeed in their journey from idea to enterprise.
The start-up India Kerala Yatra was launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan on 1st November 2018. As part of the Yatra, 8 Boot camps and 14 Van stops were organized in 14 different districts of Kerala. Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology has selected as the only van stopping point in Palakkad district. The van reached in the college premises at 11:00 am. With an inspiring video they started their presentation. At the end of the session the students were given an opportunity to register for boot up camps. Around 30 students from the college have registered for the boot up campus arranged at NIT Calicut on 19.11.2018.
All the Boot Camps have ideation workshops and idea pitching sessions to give Entrepreneurship exposure to the students. Aspiring/Budding Entrepreneurs pitched their ideas to the panel and people with best ideas get a golden opportunity to participate in a 2-day acceleration program with a best incubator. Finally, people whose ideas got shortlisted also get a chance to pitch for offers by incubators and incentives by the State Government.
