The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, in collaboration with its student association ASTHRA, successfully organized a two-day workshop titled “SYNAPTIX – A Workshop on Deep Learning Concepts” for the S5 AIML students.
The workshop was conducted on 19th and 22nd September 2026 at the AIML Lab. The programme aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of Deep Learning concepts and to enhance their technical knowledge through interactive and practical learning sessions.
The sessions were led by Dr. Kannimuthu Subramanian, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Karpagam College of Engineering. The resource person provided students with valuable insights into Deep Learning concepts and helped them understand the fundamental principles and techniques associated with the field. The sessions provided an engaging learning environment that supported students in strengthening their conceptual understanding.
Mrs. Reshma P. K., Faculty Coordinator, ASTHRA, coordinated the programme, while Mr. Sunder V., Head of the Department, served as the Convenor. Student coordinators Anirudh V. and Sharvesh M. (S5 AIML) played a significant role in the smooth conduct of the workshop.
The workshop proved beneficial to the students by providing valuable exposure to Deep Learning concepts and contributing to the enhancement of their technical knowledge and subject understanding.
