The IEEE Student Branch and Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad organized a two-day workshop titled “Arduino & Tinkercad” on 16 and 17 December 2021. Six students attended the program (6 IEEE members). The resource persons for the workshop were Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor (IEEE Student Branch Counsellor and Vice-Principal, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology) and Prof. Swetha C. (Assistant professor, Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology). Mr. Sathyan (Lab Assistant, ECE Dept.) also supported. This completely hands-on workshop dealt with basics of embedded systems and its real-time applications, arduino familiarization and programming and simulations of circuits using tinkercad. During the workshop the students completed eleven hands-on experiments using the Arduino UNO board and also a final project. Ms. Arya R. Krishna (3rd year ECE) won the first prize in the project and the second prize was shared by Mr. Anirudh K. (3rd year ECE) and Ms. Anjana R. (3rd year ECE). The event was coordinated by Mr. Aneesh K. (Asst. Professor, ECE), Ms. Anjana R. (3rd year ECE) and Ms. Arya R. Krishna (3rd year ECE).
