Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology in association with the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) organized two day workshop on Raspberry Pi and Python on 06.10.2017 & 07.10.2017.
The chief guest of the workshop was Mr. Cibin C. Baby, Senior Project Engineer, Pantech ProEd Pvt Ltd, Cochin. Dr. B.G Vishnuram, Principal, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology in his presidential address, he highlighted the evolution of electronics and how these types of workshops will enhance the students’ knowledge to do the engineering projects. He also added that attending these workshops and seminars are beneficial in the entire career. Dr. V. Balamurugan, HOD, Dept. of ECE felicitated the gathering.
First session of the workshop was started with an introduction to Internet Of Things (IOT) and its significance. The Students were familiarized with Python programming, Raspberry Pi embedded board and its applications in various domains of present technological era. Programs were developed in Python language and its implementation was shown on Raspberry Pi. The students were given a chance to discuss their project ideas & latest applications to Raspberry Pi. Also, the workshop helped the students to build real-time projects and software peripherals. This workshop gave the students an opportunity to explore the new possibilities of Raspberry Pi in this smart world. This workshop also motivated the Students to explore Raspberry Pi using Python programming Dr. V. Balamurugan, HOD/ECE, coordinated the programme. The department of ECE faculty and students conveyed the thanks to Dr. B G Vishnuram, Principal, Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor, Assistant Director (Academics), AHHKV and Dr.P.Sankarankutty, Director for motivation and encouragement.
