The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a webinar titled “Deep Learning Techniques and its Research Applications” on 29 April 2021 in association with the IEEE Student Branch, IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (APS) SBC, IEEE WIE SB AG of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad. This was attended by 56 students and 4 staff members (38 IEEE members). The resource person was Dr. K. Durga Devi, Assistant Professor, SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Ramapuram Campus. The session was about deep learning techniques and its importance for our future. The session explained in detail about the Deep neural networks, architecture of deep learning, tools for deep learning and its different research applications. Overall, the students appreciated the session since it was a great source of information for their future. This event was coordinated by Master Sanjay S (3rd year ECE) and Miss Sneha Raghunath (3rd year ECE) .
