Webinar on ‘Electric Vehicle Technology – Challenges and Opportunities’

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology organized a National level webinar through online mode on “Electric Vehicle Technology: Challenges & Opportunities” on 27th March 2021 at 06:00 p.m. to 07:30 p.m. Welcome address was given by, Prof. D Prakash, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering. Resource person Dr. Ajay Babu, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad, was introduced by Mr. Joel Bright, final year student, Department of Mechanical Engineering.  The resource person gave the lecture on “Electric Vehicle Technology: Challenges & Opportunities”. In his lecture, he explained about the various concepts of current automotive systems such as engine ignition systems, types of vehicles (hybrid, electric and gasoline), automated door opening and closing system, headlights and its customization and various additional features of current trends. 50 participants of various academic institutions attended the program. Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Al Nafas, final year student, Department of Mechanical Engineering. All the attended participants gave their feedback after the session and e-certificates were sent to them through email.
