The Institution’s Innovation Council in association with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology conducted a half day workshop titled “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking and Innovation Design” on 05.02.2022. The workshop consisted of two sessions. The first session was handled by Dr. Bharati Raj, Assistant Professor, N.S.S. College of Engineering, Palakkad and second session was handled by Dr. Praseeda K.I., Assistant Professor, N.S.S. College of Engineering, Palakkad. Around 114 participants attended the event.
Dr. Bharati Raj, in her session, came up with a number of exercises to invoke the critical thinking ability of the students. The session also dealt with techniques for improving critical and design thinking. The session was highly interactive and extremely thought provoking. The second session by Dr. Praseeda K. I. emphasized on the importance of creativity in innovation design. In the session the speaker showed various examples of creative thinking that has led to innovative designs. The participants were made to do exercises to improve their creative thinking skills. The session was highly interactive and inspiring.
