The Department of AI&ML, with the Departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) jointly organized a workshop event on familiarization of LATEX tool at Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad. The hands-on workshop titled “Write it Right – Unleash the Power of LaTeX” was conducted on the 24th and 25th of February 2025 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Programming Lab 3 for the second semester students of these departments.
The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Shyaman V P, a Ph.D. Scholar at NIT Calicut and Assistant Professor in the Science and Humanities Department of Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering & Technology, Payyanur. The workshop was formally inaugurated by Dr. Suresh P R, Principal of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology. The event was further graced by the presence of Dr.Gunashekharan S, HoD of CSE, and Dr. Balamurugan V, HoD of ECE, who delivered their felicitation addresses. The hands-on sessions were highly engaging, providing the students with in-depth knowledge and practical experience in LaTeX, a powerful document preparation tool used for academic
and technical writing. The workshop received excellent feedback from participants, who appreciated the structured approach, practical exposure, and expertise of the resource person. The event was a great success, equipping students with valuable skills for technical documentation and academic writing. The closing ceremony was conducted at 4:00 PM on 25th February, where an appreciation certificate was presented to the expert by the Principal as a token of gratitude. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by one of the student participants. All the students who successfully completed the workshop were awarded with an E-Certificate.
