Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology in association with EnSAv (Energy Saving Awareness) Club organized a ‘Energy Conservation Awareness’ program on account of world engineering day for sustainable development on 4th March 2020. The function was inaugurated by Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai, Director, Ahalia Group Academic Institutions & Principal, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology. The gathering included Heads, staff members and students of various departments of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. P R Sreemahadevan Pillai in which he gave an introduction about importance of energy conservation and effective utilization. Dr. G. Murugananth, Professor and Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, addressed the gathering about various programs and activities for energy conservation under EnSAv club. The sessions were handled by Ms. Ambili B., final year student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Dr. G. Murugananth. ‘Save 1 Unit of Energy per day per Home’ was the motto behind the campaign. The 9 strategic ideas (9 Mantras) on implementing the motto were delivered by Ms. Ambili B. to the gathering.
