The inauguration of the IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc) Student Branch Chapter of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology was held on 11 May 2022 in the ASET Seminar Hall. The function was attended by 76 participants (20 IEEE members). The event began with the welcome speech by Ms. Arya R. Krishna (Chair, IEEE ComSoc Student Branch Chapter) followed by the presidential address by Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai (Principal, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology). Dr. Shamna H. R. (Chair, IEEE ComSoc Kerala Chapter) inaugurated the SBC virtually. In her inaugural address, she talked about the benefits of ComSoc membership and the activities of ComSoc Kerala Chapter. Dr. Jobin Francis (Vice Chair, IEEE ComSoc Kerala Chapter) spoke about the advancements in communication technologies. Following that, the felicitations were given by Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor (IEEE Student Branch Chapter Counselor and Vice Principal, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology). The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Ajay K. S. (S4 ECE).
